Welcome to the Indiana MGR sanction show.

The 2011, fifth annual Stiff Competition and Myotonic Mayhem shows are held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, Indiana.   These two (2) shows are sanctioned by the Myotonic Goat Registry and are attended by Myotonic breeders, from as far away as MS, TX., bringing with them  over 100+ goats .  Each show is judged by a different judge, giving each exhibitor 2 shows to compete in and to earn points towards  Permanent Championships.

There are  several sanctioned shows held throughout the U.S.A.   You can go to the MGR website for information on upcoming shows at  www.myotonicgoatregistry.net

Fun, Family, Friendship and Fainters

Friends meet yearly at these sanctioned shows for a fun time of competition.  You will find adults, children and grandparents all helping and working together.  We have several team volunteers that help run the show .  We THANK our volunteers as they also make the show "happen".

Between the sanctioned shows there is time to discuss the Myotonic/Fainter goat breed with the breeders attending the show. This is a time for everyone to relax, fuel-up for the next show, and to talk goats. That is what we do best!

Along with showing the Myotonic, you will find, there will be several breeders who are selling under a private treaty. This is usually a great time to see what other breeders are accomplishing with their herds and to find new genetics for your herd.  Whether you are interested in buying for new genetics or are looking for a pet goat, coming to the shows allows you to talk with the breeders.

Sponsorships

If you are interested in helping sponsor the Indiana show, we have several ways a person can help out.

1. A person can sponsor a Class with as little as a $10.00 sponsorship fee.  This would include placing the sponsor's farm name under the class listing.  Please check our Sponsor page to find more information on sponsoring a class.

2. Our fifth year of calendar ads are available.  A person can place a business card ad into our show calendar and receive a calendar in return, postage paid, for $25.00.  Or a calendar can be purchased, postage paid, for a cost of $15.00. Calendars will be mailed out sometime between the month of May 2011 & June 2011.  Photos of previous calendars are posted on the photo album to the left of this page. For more info please contact Judy Balmer. Email info is to left of the page.

3. In 2011, we will offer show t-shirts for a fee of $15.00.  These will be available to order Feb 2011.  Photos are available, look to the left and click on T-shirt photo album,   You can contact Ann Teeters (info to left of page) for more info on the t-shirts. Sponsorship t-shirts will be mailed out in June 2011.

4.Silent Auction items.  Are you a crafty person?  Have you got a great idea on a product and would like to share?  Every year we have done a silent auction table to help generate money for the shows.  Many people have either donated items and/or bid on items to help support the show. Please contact Ann Teeters or Judy Balmer if you have something you would like to donate.
